You will find when trying to replace the old and rotted wood in your classic truck that more time will be required than you initially planned for. I spent half a day just removing all of the old nuts and bolts while lying underneath the truck on my back. And of course many bolts had to be grinded off after years of rust set in. You will also find that after removing all of the nuts and bolts that you will save yourself time and enable yourself to do a much better job if you completley remove the bed from the frame. You will find that after you removed all the bolts releasing the wood, that only a slight amount of further work will be required to accomplish removing the entire bed. Next entry I will discuss the preperation required when you have the wood and rails that you will be installing on the truck.
